Carbon charcoal absorbs cooking odours and airborne grease before the air is returned to the room, so this is the part you need when the hood is running in recirculation mode rather than ducted outside. It is non-washable and is replaced rather than cleaned.
Two things to know before you order
Howdens' own description claims the pack “comes with 25 filters”. The specification on the same page states Pack Size: 1. We have followed the specification and sell this as a single unit. We are not prepared to advertise a quantity their own data does not support.
Howdens also file it two different ways. The product title calls it a filter; their Product Type row reads “Cooker Hood Recirculating Kit”, and the page carries a 150mm ducting dimension, which is not something a bare filter pad would have. Both descriptions are reproduced below exactly as Howdens publish them. If the precise contents matter to you, ask us and we will confirm with Howdens before we dispatch.
