Read this first: this is a two-hole deck tap, not a monobloc. It mounts across two existing tap holes at 220mm centres — the footprint is 220mm x 42mm — with a lever over each hole and the swan neck spout in the middle. If your sink or worktop has a single tap hole, this tap will not fit it, and you want a monobloc instead: the Rienza TAP3545 gives you the same two-lever arrangement on one hole. If you are replacing an old two-hole pillar set and want to keep the holes you have, this is exactly the tap for the job, and it is the cheapest way to do it in the Howdens range.
It will run on almost any water system. Rated 0.2-5 bar — the lowest starting pressure of any tap we stock — and classed by Howdens as suitable for low to high pressure systems. It is a genuine answer for an old gravity-fed system with a tank in the loft, which is often exactly what is behind a two-hole sink.
The plumbing is different from a monobloc, so check these. The connection is a ½" BSP male thread with fixed inlets, not flexi tails — so the tap does not flex to meet your pipework and the holes need to line up. Maximum sink and worktop thickness is 38mm, the tightest in our range, so measure the deck of a thick composite sink before ordering. All fixings and the instruction manual are supplied. The aerator is a replaceable Neoperl honeycomb insert and the valve is a ceramic disc cartridge.
A note on the specification. Howdens' own page describes this as a "dual flow" design while its specification table states Flow Type: Single Flow. We have followed the specification and reproduced it verbatim below — the hot and cold are mixed and delivered through the single spout. If independent hot and cold outlets are what you need, this is not the tap.
