The Sennen's squared-off right-angled spout in a matt black finish — the combination that most people are actually after when they ask for a black tap. Matt rather than gloss, so it reads as a solid block of colour against a light worktop and does not throw reflections, and the hard geometry of the spout suits a flat-fronted or handleless kitchen.
Practically it is the same tap as the chrome version: single lever for one-handed temperature and flow control, a spout that swivels across a double bowl, a ceramic disc cartridge, and a replaceable aerator so limescale can be dealt with as a service part. 311mm tall with a 240mm reach.
Living with a matt black finish. It is a paint-type coating rather than a plating, so treat it accordingly: wipe with a soft cloth and water, and keep abrasive creams, bleach and limescale removers off it. The surface finish carries its own one-year guarantee, separate from the five years on the tap itself.
