TAP6095 Pronteau Kynance Brushed Aged Brass Ribbed Kitchen Tap Handles
A pack of two replacement handles for the Pronteau Kynance tap range, in a brushed aged brass finish with a ribbed, fluted grip. Swapping the handles is the cheapest way to change the character of a Kynance tap without changing the tap.
This is the most traditional combination Pronteau offer on the Kynance range: vertical flutes rather than the cross-hatched texture of the knurled version, in a brass that is supplied already softened rather than bright and continues to develop with handling. It still gives a positive grip on wet or soapy hands, which is the point of a textured handle. Each handle is solid brass, 13mm in diameter and 38mm tall, and the pack is supplied with a base plinth and an aerator case so the whole visible assembly matches.
Which Kynance taps do these fit? Howdens state only "For Use With: Kynance Taps" and name no individual model numbers, and there is no compatibility chart in the manufacturer's documentation. We have not assumed one. If you tell us the code or the age of your Kynance tap we will confirm the fit with Howdens before you order.

Note on the finish: Howdens' description calls this an "aged finish" while their specification records Finish: Brushed with Colour Description: Aged Brass. It is a brushed brass with an aged colour, and we have quoted the specification.
Installation
These are a handle change, not a plumbing job — no pipework is disturbed and the water does not need to be turned off at the main in most cases. The pack contains two handles, a base plinth and an aerator case. Howdens' own description of this pack calls that component a "base plate" while their specification calls it a "base plinth"; it is the same part, and we have quoted the specification.
Their Care and Maintenance row refers to a "Product Care and Maintenance Manual" which is not published on their product page, and the only document attached to it is the installation guide for the Kynance taps rather than one for the handles. Ask us and we will send you what Pronteau supply.

Howdens publish a 2 Year Manufacturer's Guarantee on this product. We should tell you that the Kynance installation guide linked from the same page states that decorative surface finishes are guaranteed for one year from purchase. We are quoting you both figures rather than picking the more flattering one, and we are asking Pronteau to confirm which applies to the handles. On a living finish like aged brass this matters more than usual, so if the guarantee is the reason you are buying, contact us first.
