The Bowden bridge tap is the piece that sets the tone for a traditional kitchen. Two deck-mounted legs carry the water up to a bridged body and out through a gently curved J-shaped spout, giving you the period silhouette that a modern monobloc simply cannot. Finished in polished nickel, it has a softer, warmer light than chrome and sits beautifully against painted shaker doors, butler sinks and solid timber worktops.
Separate hot and cold levers give you proper control over temperature and flow, each turning through a quarter turn on a ceramic disc cartridge. The spout swivels, so it moves out of the way when you need to fill a large pan or wash a baking tray. Usefully, this is one of the few taps of its type rated from just 0.3 bar, which means it will work on a gravity-fed system as happily as on mains pressure.
