The right-angled Rienza is the squared-off, architectural alternative to the swan neck — a vertical column with a horizontal spout, which suits a flat-fronted handleless kitchen far better than a curve does. At 288mm it is also the shortest tap in the range, so it works under a low window sill or a wall cupboard where a 345mm swan neck would foul.
It will run on almost any water system. Rated 0.3-5.5 bar and classed by Howdens as suitable for low to high pressure systems, so it works on a gravity-fed tank as well as mains or combi pressure.
Practical detail worth knowing before you order. It fits a single tap hole with a 45mm footprint and allows a generous 50mm maximum sink and worktop thickness — more than the swan neck versions, so it is the better choice on a deep composite sink. Flexi tails on a ½" BSP female thread, all fixings and the instruction manual are supplied. The aerator is a replaceable Neoperl honeycomb insert and the valve is a ceramic disc cartridge. Howdens do not publish a hose length for this code, so we have not quoted one.
One note on the handles. Howdens' specification for this code states a dual lever handle type, which is what we have listed and what the rest of the Rienza range uses; their page description, however, refers to a single-lever control.
