The LAM7302 is a 25 litre built-in microwave with a 1000W variable single-zone grill, finished in black glass with touch controls and a digital display. It is the sensible middle of the Lamona range: 900W of microwave power across five levels, a defrost programme, a 31.5cm turntable that takes a full dinner plate, and a grill that will actually brown a gratin rather than just warm it.
Before you order, three things to check
- The cabinet cut-out is 560mm wide by 380mm high by 500mm deep. That is a standard 60cm-wide, 38cm-high built-in aperture in a tall housing. The appliance itself is 595 x 388 x 401mm, so the fascia sits proud of the cabinet face by design.
- The door hinges on the left, it does not drop down. Howdens list Door Opening: Left. If you specifically want a drop-down oven-style door, this is not that model, and a left-hinged door needs clearance on the left of the housing to open fully.
- It runs on a fitted 13A plug with a 1.5m lead, so no electrician is needed provided there is a socket serving the cabinet. Howdens do not state whether a trim or framing kit is required, so we cannot confirm either way; ask us and we will check.
Safety features are the full set: child lock, automatic safety shut-off, audible end-of-programme signal and a timer.
