The LAM7052 is a compact combination oven: a proper 48 litre fan oven with sixteen functions that also runs as an 800W microwave, in a single cavity. That means one appliance in one 45cm housing doing the job of a second oven and a microwave, which is why it is the appliance of choice for a tall-unit run where there is only one spare aperture. Conventional, fan, fan grilling, upper and lower element and grill functions are all there, with a 2600W variable single-zone grill and a drop-down door.
The cavity is flatbed, not turntable, so a full-width oven dish fits and rotates nothing. Supplied with a dripping pan and a wire rack.
Before you order, three things to check
- This is a compact oven, not a microwave. Our supplier's own list calls it a combi microwave and that undersells what it is. It goes into a 45cm-high tall-unit housing, not a 38cm microwave aperture, and it weighs 44kg rather than 22kg. If you are replacing a microwave, this will not drop into the same hole.
- It is hard wired on a 16A supply, with no plug fitted. Maximum input is 2700W. You will need an electrician and, in most cases, a dedicated circuit. This is the single most common surprise on this appliance, so please budget for it.
- The cabinet cut-out is 560mm wide by 450mm high by 550mm deep. The appliance itself is 594 x 445 x 567mm. Check you have a 45cm compact housing, not a 38cm one.
At 44kg this is a two-person lift into a tall unit. Energy rating A, halogen cavity light, child lock, automatic safety shut-off, timer and an audible end-of-programme signal.
One small note on finish: the Howdens description calls it matt black, and so does our supplier list, but the specification row records only Black. We would expect matt, and we have flagged it with Howdens.
