The Lamona LAM6990 is a full-height in-column wine cooler holding 70 bottles, in a 60cm tall housing, with ten beech shelves, a handleless push-to-open door and colour-change interior lighting. It is the largest and most serious piece of refrigeration Lamona make, and it turns a single tall cabinet into a proper wine store.

This is a tall-column appliance, not an under-counter one
That is the first thing to be clear about. It stands 1788mm tall and needs a full-height tall housing - the same kind of cabinet a tall fridge freezer or an in-column oven tower goes into. It will not fit under a worktop.
The housing aperture Howdens publish is 1761mm high x 580mm wide x 580mm deep. Build to those figures.
You will notice the appliance dimensions we list below (1788 x 595 x 557mm) look larger than that aperture. Those are the overall dimensions including the door and fascia, which sit proud of the cabinet - the carcass that goes into the aperture is smaller. This is normal for an integrated appliance, but because Howdens present both sets of figures under similar labels we want to be explicit: the 1761 x 580 x 580mm aperture is the figure to cut to, and the installation manual supplied with the appliance is the final authority. If you are building the cabinetry from scratch, contact us first and we will send you the manual before you commit.
It runs on a fitted plug with a 1.8m lead, and stands on adjustable front feet.
What we would tell you in the showroom
- Seventy bottles on ten shelves. That is a collection, not a few bottles for the weekend.
- Beech shelving rather than wire, which is kinder to labels and looks considerably better through the glass.
- Push-to-open, handleless door. You can open it with an elbow or a knee while carrying bottles, and there is no handle to interrupt a run of handleless cabinetry.
- Colour-change LED lighting - a genuine feature in a dark corner or a bar area, not just a gimmick.
- Frost free, 38dB, and a maximum bottle width of 77mm, so standard Bordeaux and Burgundy bottles both fit.
- Reversible door and touch controls.
Two things we are not going to claim
Temperature zones. Howdens' own product description mentions triple temperature zones, but their specification table publishes only a single temperature range of 5 to 18 degrees and contains no zone row at all. We are not advertising three zones on the strength of a marketing sentence. What we can tell you for certain is the range: 5 to 18 degrees, which covers everything from chilled white to cellar-temperature red. If multi-zone operation is the reason you are buying, contact us first and we will confirm the zone configuration with Howdens in writing before you order.
Glass specification and door lock. Howdens publish no UV-protection or glass-type row, and no lock. The only related row is No Childlock Facility. We will not imply UV glass or a lockable door on data that does not exist.
One oddity in Howdens' data, reproduced as published: the specification flags Non Adjustable Shelves while their description calls the shelves telescopic. Both can be true - a shelf can slide out without being height-adjustable - but do not expect to reposition them.
