The Lamona stacking kit that lets a freestanding washing machine and tumble dryer sit one on top of the other instead of side by side. Read this first — this is the BLACK kit, and Howdens name only the black machines
Howdens publish this kit's compatibility as the FLM8703 black washing machine and the FLM8802 black tumble dryer. We sell both of those machines, and together with this kit they are a complete stacked black laundry pair.
If your machines are white, do not order this kit yet — talk to us first. Howdens do not publish any statement about which kit fits the white FLM8702 and FLM8803, and we are not willing to infer it. We have asked them, and we would rather have that answer for you than sell you a bracket set that does not line up.
What Howdens do not publish, and what we will not invent
- No maximum load. Their description says the kit “supports the weight of a dryer” and gives no figure in kilograms. We are not going to quote one. If you are stacking anything other than the two machines named above, ask us.
- No guarantee. Howdens publish no guarantee row for this item and we do not claim one.
- The published dimensions do not fully reconcile. Howdens give a width of 605mm, a depth of 538mm and a height of 66mm, and separately a length of 490mm. Four figures for a three-dimensional object. Plan around 605 × 538 × 66mm, which matches the footprint of a 600mm machine, and ask us if the 490mm matters to your installation.

Fitting
The kit locates the dryer on top of the washing machine and holds it in place; the fixings are supplied. Follow the instructions that come with it, and remember that a stacked dryer still needs its condensate tank emptied — the FLM8802 is a heat pump machine with no plumbed drain option, so it is worth thinking about how easily you can reach the tank once the machine is at head height.
