The burners are deliberately mismatched rather than four of the same size: one simmer burner, one rapid burner and two standard, so a stockpot and a milk pan can be run alongside each other. The pan supports are cast iron rather than pressed steel, which is what keeps a heavy pan sitting flat, and ignition is automatic with a flame failure device fitted.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch3\u003eBefore you order, three things to check\u003c\/h3\u003e\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eThe worktop cut-out is 560mm wide by 480mm deep.\u003c\/strong\u003e The hob itself measures 595 x 510mm, so it overlaps the aperture by roughly 17mm on each side.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eWorktop thickness. Howdens' product page states a 20mm minimum, but Howdens' own installation manual for this hob states 25 to 45mm.\u003c\/strong\u003e The two disagree, so we have quoted both rather than picking one.
